Share Forward Launch Success!

Our first pick-up weekend was a great success! We raised $960 dollars that went directly to nonprofit organizations including: Laguna Santa Rosa Foundation, the California Native Plant Society, Sebastopol Senior Center, Zen Center in Santa Rosa, Farm to Consumer Legal Defense Fund, and the Good Meat Project.  Also, a lot of cheese, yogurt, bread, and peaches went it into many happy mouths, young and grown up!

A big thank you to everyone who came to visit. You made it possible!

Wild Thing is a wild culture, raw milk cheese! She is also part of a small, but growing, national movement to create a few truly original American cheeses --cheeses that originate on American soil, made from native microbes, milk, and cheesemakers!

We'll be adding some new cheeses and breads including the American original, Wild Thing, and Cumulus, our version of fresh, raw milk goat cheese (chèvre). And, on Sunday, Jack and I will be making cheese and baking bread in the woodoven (fingers crossed!) I'll let you know what time; you're welcome to come visit during the action, as long as you promise not to laugh at us if we screw it up!

I'll send you an announcement about 2 weeks before each upcoming pick-up date. Then you can go to the store and reserve what you want.

If you have a friends who would appreciate this effort, send them to the website to sign-up for Share Forward and Farm Bites!
